CloSYS Toothpaste
What do you look for in a toothpaste? Flouride, whitening, natural ingredients? I prefer a less abrasive toothpaste that will be sensitive to my gums and teeth. Brushing my teeth should be a pleasant experience and not a painful one. Toothpaste with Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) has been linked to canker sores. I prefer to use toothpastes without SLS to minimize any risks of sores. Other features I look for in toothpaste is anti-plaque and battling bad breath. I brush my teeth twice a day, get rid of plaque and limit bad breath throughout the day. I want to ensure that my breath stays fresh and clean all day so that I don't have to worry throughout the day.
CloSYS is dental line that carries toothpaste, mouth spray, and mouth rinse. The line of care includes fluoride and fluoride-free toothpastes. I wanted to try the flouride-free toothpaste which had a slight minty flavor to it. The toothpaste was a little gritty and I prefer it to be a little smoother. The toothpaste did not foam too much but it did dissolve and clean my teeth. I was able to brush my teeth comfortably without any discomfort. Recently I have been using SLS free toothpaste to avoid any unnecessary canker sores. A more gentle toothpaste allows me to clean my teeth and gums for the recommended 2 minutes. Instead of quickly trying to brush my teeth before the pain sets in. My breath was fresh immediately after I brushed my teeth but it was not long-lasting. The biggest downfall for the CloSYS toothpaste was the gritty texture. If it was smoother, I would have enjoyed it better. The benefit is the gentle formula with no irritation. I would highly recommend using the mouth sprays or the mouth rinse over the toothpaste.
