The clay also prevents plaque buildup and helps to whiten teeth. This is the first I have ever heard of such a product and was a little surprised by the brown toothpaste. However, the toothpaste tasted minty and the texture was similar to other toothpastes. The toothpaste was a little gritty but foamed like regular toothpastes. I experienced no sensitivity and this toothpaste is great for delicate gums. Even kids can use this toothpaste with no worries of stinging or pain. I did have to rinse my mouth several times to get all the clay toothpaste out but afterwards had a minty fresh breath. I would probably use this toothpaste during times that I am experiencing sensitivity. I probably would not use this toothpaste everyday. I would recommend this product for anyone who experiences sensitive gums or just wants to use a gentle, less harsh toothpaste. It's like a spa day for your mouth!
