NiteWhite ACP Bleaching Gel, Carbamide Peroxide

September 08, 2011

As a buyer for Dentist.net, I’ve had the opportunity to try a lot of different teeth whitening products. You name it, I’ve tried it. Unlike most people, I don’t have any teeth sensitivity and like to use the strongest concentration of gel available with the shortest wear-time. I’ve used every type of teeth whitening application available including brush-on whitening pens, whitening strips, whitening toothpastes, pre-filled trays, custom trays, and even had my teeth professionally whitened at my dental office. This has given me access to compared different whitening formulas like carbamide peroxide, hydrogen peroxide, and peroxide-free. I believe that the NiteWhite ACP Bleaching Gel, with 22% Carbamide Peroxide, is one of the best bleaching gel refills available for the general consumer with custom whitening trays. I wore the NiteWhite ACP 22% for one hour and saw noticeable results after the first session. The proven formula contains Potassium Nitrate to minimize possible tooth sensitivity and Calcium Carbonate to strengthen your enamel. With NiteWhite ACP you’re not only getting whiter teeth, you’re getting protection against the side effects normally associated with teeth whitening. The NiteWhite formula doesn’t foam like some of the other brands I’ve tried, which is surprising because it also contains Hydrogen Peroxide. Low foaming whitening gel formulas minimize the chances of gel seeping out of the trays and onto your gums. My only concern with the NiteWhite ACP Bleaching Gel is that it contains Propylene Glycol. There has been bad press about Propylene Glycol, a mineral oil found in antifreeze that is also commonly used in toothpastes. I doubt that the FDA would allow this product to be on the market if it was indeed harmful to users, but the fact that it is the first ingredient listed on the ingredients list does cause me to raise an eyebrow. However, seeing that no bleaching gel is meant to be ingested I would still recommend this to family and friends. Rating 4 ½ stars out of 5
