Dr.Collins Perio Toothbrush
Once I find a good
toothbrush, I like to stick to the same kind. I like to have a firm toothbrush that will scrape all plaque off my teeth but soft enough so that my gums do not become irritated. Every once in a while, I will get inflamed gums from either eating hard foods or scratching my gums by accident. Either way, it's nice to have a
soft toothbrush so that it does not further irritate my gums. I also need something that will get food/plaque off the teeth that is wedged in between my teeth. My bottom row of teeth are a little bit crooked and I need something that will fully clean it.
I used the
Dr. Collins Perio Toothbrush and was very pleasantly surprised at how soft and firm the toothbrush was at the same time! The toothbrush looks very basic and I was unsure as to whether it would be any different than any standard toothbrush but in fact the bristles were really amazing and different! At first when I used the
Dr. Collins Perio toothbrush, the bristles were really soft against my teeth, but then once I started brushing, my gums were lightly massaged as well. My mouth felt great and really clean! The funny thing about using this toothbrush is that I almost wanted to continue to brush my teeth longer just to keep massaging my gums! The toothbrush felt great on my teeth and after I was finished, my teeth felt clean and refreshed. Great product! I will definitely be using this toothbrush as my regular daily toothbrush!

Perio Toothbrush is unlike any conventional toothbrush on the market. Ordinary bristles of toothbrushes are made of nylon. The nylon monofilament bristles have the advantage of proper resilience and flexibility, but are disadvantageous in that they are highly water-absorbent and are easily deformed. The nylon monofilament bristles are not soft because they must be thick in order to maintain desired flexibility. Generally, the nylon monofilament bristles are each rounded at their ends in order to prevent the gums from being injured during brushing. The Dr. Collins Perio Toothbrush bristles are made of a polyester compound which is more durable and longer lasting than nylon. These unique bristles absorb less water and are preferable to use for toothbrush bristles. However, the standard monofilament bristles made of such polyester compounds are often too stiff and inferior in their flexibility, which may damage or injure the gums. To overcome these disadvantages, the ends of such polyester bristles were tapered into a needle-shape with each bristle measuring 0.02 mm or less in diameter. These bristles are now thinner and more flexible than the standard nylon bristles allowing for better interdental cleaning. These longer lasting bristles are also less porous and harbor less germs. This patented tapering technique can only be found on the Dr. Collins Perio Toothbrush!
Most people don't
floss or floss only occasionally. Many people also use harsh or hard brushes under the false impression that they will provide a more efficient cleaning. Hard brushes can have an abrasive effect on enamel which protects teeth from dental disease. They can also damage the gums, promoting bleeding and opening the way for bacterial penetration, resulting in tooth decay and gum disease.
Dr. Collins Perio Toothbrush penetrates the areas between teeth and gums removing plaque and food particles, while gently massaging gums without pain and bleeding. It gives you cleaner teeth, healthier gums and saves tooth enamel from abrasion. Dr. Collins Perio Toothbrush helps prevent cavities and provides overall oral hygiene and fresher breath.
Standard toothbrush filaments have flat tips and cannot reach between teeth where residual foods and foreign substances can accumulate, rot, cause bad breath, and lead to the onset of tooth decay and gum disease. The Dr. Collins Perio toothbrush has tapered filaments that can penetrate between the teeth and around the gums to remove the unwanted buildup.
