CAUTION:  Recaldent is derived from milk casein. Do NOT use if you have a MILK PROTEIN Allergy. NOTE: MI paste is NOT a toothpaste and should not be applied like toothpaste i.e. do not brush your teeth with it.  MI paste is applied to the tooth with either a finger or can be applied in either a custom whitening tray if you have one) or a boil and bite tray. Mi paste can also be professionally applied by the hygienist with a polishing cup during your prophylaxis (tooth cleaning). Recommended to leave on the tooth for 3-5 minutes and then expectorate (spit out). For maximum benefit, do NOT rinse with water after application.

 

Caution: People with MILK PROTEIN allergies should NOT use this or any other product containing Recaldent as Recaldent is derived from milk.

Natural saliva contains calcium, phosphate, and fluoride which in combination with certain salivary protein help to strengthen tooth enamel, minimize tooth sensitivity and defend against plaque acid by replenishing these minerals which are lost from the tooth surface during demineralization. Demineralization occurs in the presence of acid foods/drink, cavity causing bacteria and tooth bleaching. Saliva actually remineralizes the tooth surface.

GC™ MI Paste contains RECALDENT™ (CPP-ACP) which uniquely delivers this calcium and phosphate to the surface of teeth as well as surrounding soft tissue surfaces to promote oral health. Recaldent™ supplements the calcium and phosphate loss from saliva during the normal acidic digestive process.

GC MI Paste is intended for treatment of teeth whitening sensitivity and root planning and scaling during professional dental cleanings.

RECALDENT™ (CPP-ACP) – Bio-available Calcium and Phosphate:

Contains RECALDENT™ (CPP-ACP). Casein Phosphopeptide (CPP) are natural occurring molecules which are able to bind calcium and phosphate ions and stabilize Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (ACP).

RECALDENT™ (CPP-ACP) is a special milk-derived protein that can help replace lost minerals in teeth, make them stronger and helps protect them from decay and erosion.

Adheres easily to soft tissue, pellicle, plaque and even hydroxyapatite. Reacts similar to the mineral/statherin relation in saliva supplying bio-available calcium and phosphate required for remineralization to take place.1, 3

Under acidic conditions, RECALDENT™ (CPP-ACP) releases calcium and phosphate ions into tooth enamel4.

Supplies calcium and phosphate needed for patients with poor saliva flow. This situation can be further augmented by elevating the level of fluoride.
